Release Date: Thursday 23 March 2017
SeaQuarium Weston will begin its Easter Eggstravaganza event from 8th April – 23rd April, celebrating the school holidays and Easter period in egg-cellent style!
Guests are invited to join in on the fun and hunt for the missing eggs hidden deep within the tanks. Those who are clever enough to crack the password in the Eggsplorer’s Trail, will win a delicious Easter treat!**
There will also be a host of eggstra-eggciting Easter theming and activities — all included in the all day ticket admission price!
Matthew Hardy, Attraction Senior Supervisor said, “We always love this time of year as there is so much going on at SeaQuarium, including lots of competitions. Guests can enter our competition to win an Easter basket packed full with lots of goodies, including an Amazon gift card, hermit crab soft toy, Easter treats, complimentary family ticket and more! All they need to do for a chance to win this amazing prize is hunt for the hidden golden egg, capture a photo with it and upload it onto SeaQuarium Weston’s Facebook page!”
He continued, “We’re also calling on people to help us with an egg hunt, but not for Easter eggs. In association with the Shark Trust UK, we are asking anyone who spots any egg cases on the beach to get in contact with them, or alternatively visit www.eggcase.org or use #GreatEggcaseHunt to report their findings. This will help the Shark Trust build a better picture of species abundance, distribution and the whereabouts of potential nursery grounds.”
Additionally to the competition and trail, there will be also be a daily ray feed and presentation at 1:30pm. Plus, there will be a chance for children to make their very own Easter crafts in the free Eggsplorer’s Craft Club. With lots of Easter competitions and activities, it will be a true Easter Eggstravaganza!
During the Easter holidays all of SeaQuarium’s exhibits will be open as usual. Admission prices are £9.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. Visitors can also touch and feel artefacts such as empty egg cases in the daily rock pool demonstrations throughout the day, where they can learn more about the weird and wonderful creatures that live in the oceans and beyond.
