If you would like to take up a new interest, meet new people, make our guests smile and support wildlife conservation education, then come and be part of our growing volunteer team at SeaQuarium.

Volunteers do not take the place of paid staff, but they make an important contribution to helping enhance the guest experience and support the staffing team. Volunteers act as an ambassador to SeaQuarium and can help the guests gain a greater understanding of the issues surrounding wildlife conservation and what SeaQuarium and the guests can do to help animals in the wild, in addition to providing fantastic customer service.

Volunteer roles are unpaid and do not include any expenses, so individuals will be required to cover their own travel costs. Please take this into account before registering interest.

When you volunteer at SeaQuarium we hope you’ll have great fun and enjoy meeting new people. You’ll also feel good knowing your time is being well spent helping an important cause. By becoming a volunteer you can learn new skills and knowledge, and pass this knowledge onto our guests, enhancing their experience.

Due to the time involved in meeting potential volunteers, we do look for a certain level of commitment. Volunteers are asked to support SeaQuarium every week on a regular day within a specific Volunteering role.

Due to the limited number of opportunities we endeavour to find people who are most suited to each volunteering role, based on the information provided when you register interest. If you are shortlisted after registering interest we will invite you in for an informal discussion before confirming whether we are able to offer you a place within a suitable volunteering role.

Due to the amount of people who would like to volunteer with us, we can not guarentee an informal discussion or volunteer role for everyone and will prioritise the individuals who suit the roles and will benefit most out of the experience, so make sure you tell us as much as possible about you when filling in your 'Register Interest' form!

PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers do not have hands-on contact with the animals, unless stated in the specific volunteer role description.
